Lend a Helping Hand

We are always looking for volunteers for Coaches, Team Leads, and Logistics. We have listed the job descriptions and their respective required skills below. Note that all volunteers are unpaid positions. Thus, the minimum expectation is that you volunteer for at least one GGG camp (2-3 consecutive half-days). However, if you absolutely loved the experience, you are more than welcome to join us for future camps.

Coaches

Please do note that this position is only open to women.

Job Description

Your job is to lead from start to end the sport we are teaching for the day. A detailed program will be given to you, and it is your job to execute it and effectively teach camp participants the skills and drills of the sport. Depending on the sport and the program cascaded, you will either have to lead a group of ~10 girls yourself or lead a skills station.

Time Expectation

Your attendance is mandatory for one full Saturday of GGG Overview, Coaches Orientation, and GGG Camp Dry Run; and the GGG Camp day that we are teaching your sport. Your attendance is optional but highly encouraged for the other GGG Camp days.

Skills Expectation

  1. Experience playing the sport on at least high school level
  2. Can lead a group of 10-12 year old girls
  3. Can speak fluent Tagalog, and can communicate clearly
  4. Coaching experience is not mandatory, but would be awesome!

Team Leads

Please do note that this position is only open to women.

Job Description

You have one of the most important roles at a GGG Camp. Your job is to be the Ate for a team of 10 10-12 year old girls throughout both days of the camp. This doesn’t make you a yaya. This makes you a role model and of your assigned team. From pick-up at their barangays up until the time they leave the camp venue, you will be there to make sure your team is safe, learning, and having fun. You will also lead the daily synthesis for your team to make sure they are learning the values we seek to impart.

Time Expectation

Your attendance is mandatory for one full Saturday of GGG Overview, Team Lead Orientation, and GGG Camp Dry Run; and both days of the GGG Camp you have signed up for.

Skills Expectation

  1. Can lead a group of 10-12 year old girls
  2. Innately caring and Ate-like
  3. Can speak fluent Tagalog, and can communicate clearly
  4. Background experience in a sport is not a requirement, but would definitely be great!

Logistics

Please do note that this position is only open to women.

Job Description

Your job is to make sure all logistical needs are prepared and ready for the best possible camp experience. This includes everything from setting up banners to making sure our Gatorade is cold.

Time Expectation

Your attendance is mandatory for one full day of GGG Overview and GGG Camp Dry Run; and both days of the GGG Camp that you have signed up for.

Skills Expectation

  1. Very organized and efficient
  2. Can think on your toes to solve problems
  3. Can anticipate the needs of others
  4. Can (preferably) lift heavy objects
